Event Details

Mid-career artists are invited to take part in this unique program designed to explore and map out the next steps for your creative practice and arts business.

Facilitated by Dr Cathryn Lloyd, the 2-day intensive uses creative approaches to reflect on the provenance (origins and motivations) of your professional practice before delving into ideas for ways to move forward with a vibrant, responsive and sustainable long-term career.

Tap into the combined expertise of other mid-career artists and industry leaders as you are guided through a series of exercises to refresh and grow your arts business, articulate your business and creative goals, and formulate effective strategies and action plans to achieve them.

Program Cost: $300 Flying Arts member; $350 non-member

Please note: This workshop is not suitable for emerging artists – it presumes you have had experience in the arts industry and are looking to build on the essence of your own arts business. Mid-career artists will typically have a solid body of work, have exhibited outside of their local area, and gained a measure of industry recognition. If you are unsure of your eligibility, you are welcome to call and talk with a Flying Arts member of staff.

Participants to Bring:

– A laptop or notebook
– Images or samples of your work past and present

Lunch and refreshments for morning and afternoon are provided.
