Many of our standard workshops can be delivered online. While some may not be immediately suitable if participants require access to highly specialised equipment to take part (eg, pottery wheels), we welcome the opportunity to discuss alternative delivery formats or related subject areas if that is the case.
Please note: When selecting your ideal program dates, we do request a minimum turnaround time of four (4) weeks on all By Request bookings.

What types of workshops/projects can be delivered online?
Our team is on hand to discuss how your desired workshop can be delivered online. Types of workshops could include:
- Professional development for educators or artsworkers (i.e. Artists or Artsworkers, Organisations and Collectives, or Project and Event teams)
- Arts education workshops for students (i.e. Early childhood, Primary or Secondary School)
- Visual Arts Workshops for children and families
What type of visual arts workshops can you deliver for us online?
Almost all of our workshops on arts business and management can be delivered online.
While some of our visual arts workshops requiring specialised equipment (for example, pottery wheels) are unsuitable for online delivery, many others are very accessible. Some of our top subject suggestions include:
- Drawing and painting
- Artist books and journal-making
- Photography and photo-editing
- Mixed media
- Environmental and recycled art
- Paper-cutting and paper relief
This list is by no means exhaustive, and we are happy to discuss how to we can deliver or adapt other subject areas to suit your particular needs.
What online delivery formats are available?
A variety of delivery formats are available, including:
- short form webinar/online workshop (1 – 2 hours);
- full workshop over multiple sessions in one day (4 – 6 hours);
- long-term projects with regular online meetings;
- pre-recorded workshop with one or more learning modules;
- multi-platform workshop with pre-recorded, written and interactive elements.
What online platforms can we use?
Workshops and projects can be delivered via the platform/s of your choice, such as Zoom. If you already use an existing online streaming/meeting platform, we are happy to discuss whether it is suitable for online workshop delivery.
For larger projects requiring longer-term collaboration or extensive resource distribution, platforms like Google Classrooms may assist your participants to stay connected. We are happy to make recommendations based on the workshop or project you have in mind.
How will participants access materials?
Your workshop facilitator will work with you to determine the best method of delivering workshop or program materials to your participants. Some options may include:
- For digital materials:
- Distribution to participants via email, Dropbox, Google Docs, or Google Classrooms or other platforms, depending on organiser preference
- For physical materials:
- Organiser to source and distribute to participants before the workshop
- Participants provided with a materials list to source themselves before the workshop
- Other options may be available in negotiation with the facilitator directly
What if there are disruptions during the online workshop?
Organisers should be aware that there are sometimes unavoidable disruptions to workshops for both facilitator and individual participants – such as internet dropouts or equipment failures. While these disruptions are occasionally unavoidable, our team will work with you to identify and mitigate these risks as much as possible before delivering the workshop or program.
What if our participants have poor internet quality?
Pre-recording options are available for workshops and projects in cases where poor internet quality is an issue.
Recording of a live session may also be negotiated prior to the workshop, which would allow participants to access a video of the workshop as a resource for future use. Please indicate if this is something you wish to discuss when submitting your enquiry.
