Iconic Queensland is the touring exhibition of the Queensland Regional Art Awards 2017.
Queensland is rich with iconic structures, people, locations, events and lifestyles that shape the State’s identity. Artists have been invited to consider the unique and iconic elements within their own regions, to produce works that reflect our diverse Queensland communities.
Curated by Henri Van Noordenburg, Project Officer Regional Services, Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art, QRAA 2017, Iconic Queensland promises to be a spectacular event featuring the finest of Queensland regional and remote artists.
The Queensland Regional Art Awards (QRAA) is an annual visual arts prize and exhibition for established and emerging artists living in regional and remote Queensland. The program aims to provide a platform for further professional development.
Touring the Queensland Regional Art Awards provides a chance for regional audiences to see and experience the artwork created by their regional peers.
