Artiz Public 2016
ArtizPUBLIC 2016 was an exciting visual arts development program for Queensland high school students. Over three full days, 27 – 29 September, young artists took part in an inspiring program of contemporary street art styles delivered by experienced arts industry professionals and gained valuable insight into further training, education and career opportunities in the arts.
Artist Feature: John Honeywill
John Honeywill has taught in secondary schools, mainly to seniors since the early 1970’s. He has been Head of the Art Dept at Somerville House since 1987. John is joining the panel with Pat Hoffie, Kevin Grealy and Merv for In Conversation with Merv Moriarty at the Judith Wright Centre on 8 October.

Pat Hoffie is a visual artist based in Brisbane whose exhibiting practice both in Australia and internationally covers some three decades. Pat will be facilitating the Conversation, joined by panellists, John Honeywill, Kevin Grealy and Merv for In Conversation with Merv Moriarty at the Judith Wright Centre on 8 October.
Artist Feature: Kevin Grealy
Kevin Grealy (1941- ) was born in Brisbane, QLD. He trained as an art teacher in the early 1960s, learning ceramics under Carl McConnell at the Central Technical College, where he first met Mervyn Moriarty. Kevin is joining the panel with Pat Hoffie, John Honeywill and Merv for In Conversation with Merv Moriarty at the Judith Wright Centre on 8 October.
