At Flying Arts, our vision is Art for LIFE – lives transformed and sustained through the Arts. Our purpose is to be a catalyst and a connector for individuals and communities, particularly for those in regional, rural and remote Queensland.

The By Request and Membership Manager plays a crucial role in fulfilling this purpose. The role contributes to the achievement of organisational goals through effective leadership, planning and administration of the By Request professional development program for artists and arts workers, young artists, educators, schools and communities, as well as the Membership programs.

About By Request

The By Request Program delivers custom art programs to the regions. Building on the legacy of our founder Merv Moriarty, the program brings art to people right across Queensland. Our team will coordinate creative projects, design workshops and deliver engaging programs with professional facilitators.

You will:

  • Coordinate and administrate all aspects of By Request bookings
  • Prepare workshop and project outlines for clients
  • Quote program enquiries and manage invoicing processes
  • Liaise with artists/facilitators, as well as clients including schools, local government, regional arts organisations and non-arts providers
  • Prepare and distribution itineraries
  • Coordinate evaluation surveys, data collection and feedback
  • Contribute to the delivery of Program Delivery in collaboration with Program Manager

About Membership

Flying Arts’ Membership Program offers benefits and insurance to arts workers all over Australia. Our program is the most competitive in Australia and is offered to individuals and organisations

You will:

  • Coordinate and lead membership services
  • Receive and process membership applications
  • Coordinate Standard and Accredited Membership program including liaison with insurer
  • Maintain member register and coordinate new member recruitment
  • Coordinate and develop member services
  • Collect, process and approve accredited member applications for Insurance

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • High level interpersonal communications skills with exceptional customer service ethic
  • Knowledge of arts business practice and visual and media arts
  • Knowledge of arts project management processes
  • Ability to liaise and work effectively with diverse service providers and client groups
  • Ability to work fluently between multiple tasks
  • Ability to grow program sales and membership base to revenue targets
  • Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working within a high-performance team
