
Program and Exhibition Manager

The Program and Exhibition Manager is responsible for Flying Arts’ Annual Program, Queensland Regional Art Awards (QRAA) and Regional Touring. In this role you will contribute to the achievement of organisational goals through effective leadership, planning and administration of programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, development and delivery of the annual professional development program and any new projects.
- Plan and design the annual Scheduled Program including:
- Exhibitions
- Artist Professional Development Program
- Educator Professional Development Program
- Webinar Professional Development Program
- Artist Consultations
- Queensland Regional Art Awards
- Regional Touring Program
- Coordinate, administrate and deliver all aspects of the Scheduled Programs:
- Oversee and prepare outlines for marketing and communication
- Preparation, monitoring and reporting of program budget expenditure and variances
- Manage analysis and evaluation of programs using new tools against program objectives
- Preparation of contracts and appropriate agreements
- Liaison with artists/facilitators, contractors, participants and clients
- Manage, book and schedule travel, accommodation and other relevant logistics
- Preparation and distribution of itineraries
- On-site and online coordination and delivery of programs as required
- Coordination of evaluation surveys, data collection, feedback and post activity documentation from artists/facilitators, contractors, participants and clients
- Manage summary analysis of program reports on program activities for internal and external stakeholders
- Administer regional touring exhibition program and logistics.
- Ensure appropriate level of staffing is provided at all scheduled programs, in particular those scheduled outside of regular office hours.
- Manage deliver of webinars and studio, including any external hires.
- Oversee development of Annual Report.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- High level interpersonal communications skills with exceptional customer service ethic
- Organisational and administration skills including database entry and management including CRM
- Knowledge of arts business practice and visual and media arts
- Awareness of the education and/or training sector including the Australian National Curriculum
- Knowledge of arts project management processes
- Ability to liaise and work effectively with diverse service providers and client groups
- Ability to work fluently between multiple tasks
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems and work well under pressure
- Ability to grow program sales and membership base to revenue targets
- Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working within a high-performance team
- Inspiring and collaborative leadership style that builds a cohesive and highly functioning team with high morale
- Ability to embrace change and lead others during times of transformation
- Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues and all members of the organisation in the achievement of Flying Arts’ strategic objectives
- Ability to represent Flying Arts in a professional and ethical manner and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience in developing and maintaining industry relationships
