I don’t know about you, but the team at Flying Arts welcomes spring with open arms after the topsy-turvy month that was August.
The year is not over by a long shot! We have a full program jam-packed with choices for you again this month.
You be the judge – have your say!
Voting for the Adult and Youth People’s Choice categories of this year’s Queensland Regional Art Awards closes September 11. Thanks to our award partner Ironlak, two very generous materials vouchers are available to the artwork receiving the most votes.
Until then, you have the opportunity to see all eligible entries for this year’s awards, each with their unique take on what makes Queensland iconic.
We announce the judging panel’s choice for all award categories in the last week of September… not long now!
Artiz Public is just around the corner!
Later this month, young artists from across Queensland will converge on Toowoomba to take part in our residential contemporary street art program.Over three days, participants will design and create a public art mural on a 30m x 3m wall. We can’t wait to see their work in super size!
Lastly, a thank you to all members who filled out our recent membership survey. Thank you to Ironlak Art and Design and The Johnson – Art Series Hotel for providing generous prizes to six of our lucky members who completed the survey. A further five also received complimentary standard memberships to Flying Arts. It pays to be a member!
