Natasha Scott, an experienced artist from the boutique Spotti Clogg Art Studio located in Mount Cotton, is pleased to be offering an exciting series of six workshops commencing on the 3rd March 2019 at Scrumptious Reads – 92 Arthur Terrance Redhill Brisbane.
These workshops are suitable for all levels of creative skills. Workshop groups are small and the curriculum is broken into simple blocks, allowing us to complete a project every week. This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to learn to express themselves creatively, and many of the techniques and theory transfer to other art forms. All new-comers are welcome
This week we will continue our adventure into COLOUR PRINTMAKING by using ONE 10x10cm silk cut lino or 8x8cm Ezicarve block to carve a multicolour image to print on either a CARD or a WALL IMAGE (or both). Using our transfer techniques from week one, multicolour experience from last week, and registration techniques learnt to date; we will use a single block and repeatedly carve into it, and print the “layers” of colour. This is a fantastic technique to use in creating limited edition colour images that will be bespoke gifts or decor for your friends / family / home. You will get to use all the skills that you have learnt so far, to challenge yourself creatively, and truly enjoy your printmaking. As per previous weeks, Natasha will assisting each student to achieve their best result – providing advice, assistance and encouragement every step of the way.
* Spare silk cut and Ezicarve blocks will be available for purchase
