Free Regional Arts Fund workshops coming to Central and Far North Queensland

Due to the South East Queensland Lockdown, RAF Lead Nigel Lavender will now present the following Regional Arts Fund Workshops  digitally.

Participants are still encouraged to attend in-person at the event location where Nigel will present live via a video call. If you do not feel comfortable attending physically, you are welcome to join in the conversation online. See our Facebook events (see links below) for instructions to watch online.

Interested in applying for a Regional Arts Fund (RAF) grant? Flying Arts RAF Lead Nigel Lavender will be presenting free community workshops in Central and Far North Queensland this August.

Learn more about this program designed to benefit regional and remote arts practitioners, arts workers, audiences, and communities.

Each session will cover a brief overview of the RAF as it is administered in Queensland by Flying Arts Alliance. This will include:

  • Funding streams: Outline of current RAF funding streams including revised application deadlines for Project Grants (PGs) and Quick Response Grants (QRGs)
  • Application Assessment Criteria: How the application will be assessed.
  • How to Apply: The online application process through SmartyGrants.
  • Who is eligible: Which locations are classified as regional areas as defined by RAA.
  • How to fill out the budget: This will be the most comprehensive component of the workshop, as this element of the process often presents challenges to applicants.

RAF Community Workshops will be running from 4 – 12 August. View all the sessions below and register your attendance via the link. Please note due to COVID-Safe Event guidelines you will be asked to check in on the day using the Check In Qld App.

Any questions? Get in touch with the host venue for your local event below. If you have a query about RAF in general, our RAF team is best contacted on 07 3216 1322 or raflead@flyingarts.org.au.
