What is For Schools?
This ‘press play’ teaching tool is set to transform education delivery, empowering teachers to deliver extraordinary experiences for our most important citizens, the children of Queensland.
Filmed throughout regional Queensland, these visually stunning videos and learning tools will take the children on an outback adventure.
Annual Subscription: $1,000 per school (unlimited users)

- Renowned Queensland artists leading each unit, to teach, demonstrate and learn from
- Professional guidance for teachers
- Clear roles and directions for artist, teacher and student
- Inspiring topics for investigation and creativity
- Sequenced lesson plans, adjustable to run over a term or a semester
- Three levels across primary school: Years 1 and 2, Years 3 and 4, and Years 5 and 6, with varied mediums for each level
- Captivating videos with animations, to watch, pause and review as needed
- Student workbook
- Assessment and guide to making judgements
Each unit’s sequence includes:
- Looking at, reviewing and appraising the artist’s work and your own work
- Experimentation
- Visual arts techniques and arts practices
- Visual arts concepts and principles of art
- Making a finished artwork
- Presenting a finished artwork for an audience

Curriculum Writer
Lee FullARTon is a Queensland-based artist teacher, author, and illustrator who has been making art daily since the age of three. She writes and illustrates children’s picture books, including Mr Chippa the Woodblock Carver of Bagru, and creates accompanying classroom resources for teachers. Lee believes creative engagement changes how we think, observe and connect with others, and she loves helping students find their own voice through story and image.

Georgina Forbes, known as Lordy Dordie, is a Brisbane-based fine artist, illustrator and surface pattern designer. Her joyful, colour-filled mixed media works draw on nature, pattern and everyday objects, and she loves helping children discover their own creative confidence. Georgina runs art workshops and mentoring programs across Australia, encouraging young artists to explore colour and bold design through playful, hands-on making.
Paula Savage

Paula Savage is a Torres Strait Islander artist from Kubin Community on Moa Island, working with Ngalmun Lagau Minaral Art Centre (Moa Arts). She creates weaving, lino printing, tie-dying, fabric printing and jewellery inspired by her cultural heritage, traditional knowledge and everyday island life. Paula has exhibited nationally and won the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair Innovation Award and a Melbourne Design Week Award for her work.
Ron McBurnie

Ron McBurnie
Yr 5 & 6
Ron McBurnie is a Townsville-based printmaker, painter and educator who studied at Queensland College of Art before teaching for decades at TAFE and James Cook University. His detailed etchings, drawings and paintings draw on the North Queensland landscape and a long tradition of British Romantic printmaking. Ron’s work is held in the National Gallery of Australia and many regional galleries, and he continues to paint and exhibit across the country.
