Workshop Title: Totem Pole Workshop

Tutor: Damien Kamholtz

Workshop Summary: Participants of this workshop will work individually or in small groups to collaboratively create a number of visually interesting and meaningful ‘totem poles’ to beneficially contribute to the school grounds/community garden or own backyard. This workshop will allow participants to explore basic concepts of sculpture and construction through the use of recycled materials.

Workshop Title: Romancing Fashion soft sculpture

Tutor: Corinne Colbert

Workshop Summary: A mixed media soft sculpture community group project with a giant frock in motion constructed from salvaged materials like shower curtains, paper bags, plastics. It is interactive and 'fun-frilled' (c)

Workshop Title: 'Frock- n- roll' mixed media textile 3-d

Tutor: Corinne Colbert

Workshop Summary: Pop-up sculptures exploring 'fun-frilled'(c), salvaged textiles mixed to include recycled paper, novels, shoe boxes, fabrics, used gift cards, string, tape, paper and cardboard and bric-a-brac. It is 3-D sculpture with humor!

Workshop Title: Frock-a-Thon, soft/hard sculptures.

Tutor: Corinne Colbert

Workshop Summary: All ages intermediate and advanced students for the 'frock-a-thon' hands on sculpture workshop will explore soft /hard sculpture techniques, unique textile art objects, in the form of figurines, for a table art exhibition The figurines can be either attached on a found base or on walls. The outcomes are an exhibition of unique and humorous fashion stereotypes displayed in a variety of spaces, using salvaged and found materials not associated with traditional sculpture.

Workshop Title: Sculpting The Form

Tutor: Cezary Stulgis

Workshop Summary: Observe, analyse and acquire a basic understanding of dealing with the form. Build small-scale models with wire, wood, plaster and clay and learn the process of moving between 2D and 3D to make your character come to life in your hands! This workshop provides the foundation in the construction of small-scale models to assist >participants in applying their skills in further sculptural exploration.

Workshop Title: Mould Making and Casting

Tutor: Jo Cruickshanks

Workshop Summary: Participants will model in clay, mould in latex and cast in plaster having learnt the methods and techniques for making moulds and casting. They will cast relief pieces and create a split or two-piece mould for their sculptural work.
