Artist Statement

Stan Treacy grew up in the Limerick District and played for his first dance at the age of 13. “ ‘Polkas’, remarked Stan ‘a lot of ‘em play too fast – I’d rather play too slow’ ” - John Meredith.

He also played for step dancing.
