Artist Statement

This painting - from my imagination - is influenced by my many flights in small aircraft around the Pacific Islands and my recent regular travels to Cooktown, far north Queensland. Looking down, each time, I have been fascinated by the colour of the water as it swirls around the coral cays and the different patterns you see from the air.
