Experience The Arts (ETA) is an exciting, intensive week of visual arts activities: workshops with professional artists, gallery tours, arts industry presentations, excursions and an evening program of social events for those living in. You have the opportunity to build your portfolio, work with experienced artists and industry professionals, expand on existing skills and acquire new ones, explore Brisbane art galleries, make new friends and have fun!
Cost: $500 per student including tuition, accommodation, all meals and travel during the week. Some bursaries are available.. Deadline June 13
News flash!
Participants of ETA will be treated to “Picasso & his collection” exhibition visit at GOMA. Our generous sponsor, Brian Tucker, has funded this excursion. The exhibition features over 100 works from Picasso's extraordinary collection plus more than 80 important works by the artist himself. 'Picasso & his collection' includes paintings, drawings and prints by artists such as Chardin, Matisse, Renoir, Cézanne, Rousseau, Miró, Modigliani and Braque, as well as an extraordinary selection of Oceanic and African works.

About this year's program
This year’s theme, ‘Evolve and Emerge’ is about developing individuality and sense of self - introducing new ideas and possibilities, allowing you to explore and expand your ideas in new, creative and exciting ways.
Throughout the day you will be participating in innovative long and short workshops of your choice followed by the exciting evening program of outings and in-house events. Family and friends are invited to come and view the final exhibition featuring artworks produced by all the participants throughout the week.
Who can go? Senior high school students from across Queensland
Where is it? Anglican Church Grammar School ‘Churchie’: Oaklands Parade, East Brisbane
Note: Residential students will live in at the School boarding houses with the house-parents and Flying Arts staff and teaching and administrative staff will accompany all the activities.
Costs Full residency $500 (covers all tuition, accommodation, all meals and travel during the week) Apply for a bursary and attend free!
Non-Residency $400 (covers tuition, lunch and excursions)
N.B students will be expected to buy own meals on excursions.
Bursaries A number of bursaries are available to assist students with registration costs. We also encourage students to raise some funds in their local area. Here are some suggestions for fundraising.
