Glenda Sacre was elected as President and Chair.
The meeting voted unanimously to change the name of the Association to 'Flying Arts Alliance' to reflect the traditions and legacy of two great arts organisations and herald in a new organisation for the future. The new name will take effect once the paperwork is completed.

Arts Law Case Study
What do you do when your artwork is used without credit and without your consent? Visual artist Giles Ryder creates art from industrial materials. When a photo of one of his works appeared in the paper, his initial delight turned to disappointment when he realized that he hadn’t even been named as the artist. He asked the Arts Law Centre of Australia for advice. They wrote to the newspaper publisher, who apologised and re-published the photo of the artwork with a proper caption, in a prominent part of the paper. Artists have moral rights, one of which is the right to be identified and named as the author of their work. If you have any legal questions or require advice, contact the Arts Law Centre of Australia at: www.artslaw.com.au. Ph: 1800 221 457.
