Expressions Dance Company (EDC) maintains its place at the forefront of contemporary dance through a hectic performance and development program and a commitment to excellence in all areas of its work. The Company produces main stage performances; regional, national and international tours; an extensive education program of touring performances and workshops; community dance classes; and development opportunities for dance teachers as well as emerging performers and choreographers.

Under the Artistic Director of internationally recognised choreographer, Natalie Weir, EDC is entering an era of reinvigoration and reinvention. The Company’s talented and extraordinary ensemble of six dancers join with Natalie to create and present new works that will become trademark for the new Expressions.

In recognition of their achievements, EDC has received numerous awards including two Drovers for Tour Innovation and Management Excellence and the Sidney Myer Award for Excellence in the Performing Arts, Australia’s most prestigious performing arts award.

EDC has also been recognised internationally receiving invitations to perform in over 15 countries in the past few years including The Taipei International Festival, The Ludwigsburg (Stuttgart) International Festival, The Beijing Modern Dance Festival, Tokyo’s Next Wave Festival, Linz (Austria) Dance Festival, The Guangdong Modern Dance Festival, The Washington Shakespeare Festival and the Busan International Dance Festival (Korea).
