VizArts for Youth & Education (VizArts4Y+E)
This program of workshops and residencies is especially designed for school students and young people to develop their skills and practice in the visual and media arts. A suite of business skills workshops are also available for emerging young artists as well as range of professional development workshops for art educators.

Creative and Business Development Workshops
- Hands on creative and business development workshops/residency experiences
- As an adjunct to the workshop program, incentives are available to engage artists as Artists-in-Residence in schools or communities for periods of five days or more
- A 4 day intensive training and skills development event especially designed for gifted and talented high school students from regional and remote Queensland who are thinking about a career in the visual and media arts
2012 Queensland Regional Art Awards
- $5000 - Xstrata Young Artist Development Prize + Awards, recognition and career development for emerging and practising regional and remote artists
- Critical writing development program for senior high school students
- Hands on creative workshop experiences for arts educators interested in furthering their skills and knowledge for the classroom. Some modules will also be available by webcast.
