Teacher PD - Illustrate & Animate

Flying Arts have developed a two day workshop program for teachers looking to develop their skills in the areas of illustration, digital illustration and animation. Flying Arts’ professional development workshops will be held on the 25-26 June, 2012 in Townsville, at James Cook University. This is an exciting opportunity for teachers to gain experience in creating illustrations to animate. The workshops also highlight the important relationship between traditional and new media.

Flying Arts Interactive Web TV

Flying Arts is working closely with the Queensland Education Department and One Channel in the production and web casting of professional development programs for art teachers and educators.

Webcast training through Flying Arts and One Channel is available to all teachers throughout Queensland whether in the state, independent or catholic schools sytems. The one and a half hour sessions feature skills development and materials information on specific visual art topics which can be applied directly in the classroom. Following each session participants can download a PD certificate and resources manual.

The webcast program is an important tool in the delivery of training and professional development services for arts educators and will continue to be an integral part of the Flying Arts annual program.
