Kate Lodewyk is the current Flying Arts representative in Mt Isa. In this role Kate advertises Flying Arts courses in Normanton, Cloncurry, Julia Creek, Boulia and the surrounding stations. She has been a painter for many years and sells much of her work in Mt Isa. Her background is in the caring professions and this finds expression in much of her work. Kate is also a landscape painter; flooding her work with the brillant colours of the Mt Isa area. Industrial landscapes abound in the city but few local artists, other than Kate Lodewyk, find them a source of inspiration.
